Port Location: Ocean Terminal, 3 miles from Edinburgh city centre; Waverley railway station 3 miles; Edinburgh Airport 8 miles.

Transport: Buses and Taxis leave from the adjacent shopping centre to the city centre. Edinburgh has one of the most efficient bus services in the United Kingdom and day passes are available.

Description: The Port of Leith is the main cruise terminal for Scotlands capital, Edinburgh, and forms a vibrant, trendy suburb of the city. Edinburgh’s main sights are all within a short bus ride of the port although, if time is short, an organised excursion is probably preferable. Edinburgh has won the award for the country’s favourite city for eight years in succession.

Sightseeing and excursions: Edinburgh Castle and the Scotish parliament at either end of the Royal Mile; Princes Street and the Scott Monument near Waverley Gardens; numerous art galleries and Holyrood House; Royal Yacht Britannia near the cruise terminal; extended tours may include the Forth Bridge, a whisky distillery and excursions to Hopetoun House and Linlithgow Palace.

Beaches: Musselburgh, east of Edinburgh

Shopping: A modern shopping mall is adjacent Leith cruise terminal and department stores are situated in Princes Street, Edinburgh.
