Port Location: Athens is a world renowned city and an important cruise destination and it is the Port of Piraeus that serves as the main entry to the city by sea.

These are not the only sights to see however and the Temple of Zeus – which is slightly more out of the way – is also worth a visit however many people are happy to watch the world go by in one of the many café’s and bars that litter the streets.

Beaches: Greece as a whole is a popular beach holiday destination so it is little wonder that Athens is the same. Alimos beach is the busiest given its close proximity to the city however if you have an extra day then travel to Lagonisi which is about 40 minutes from the city.

Shopping: The Plaka District is the main shopping area in the town and you can find everything from chain stores to local shops in this bustling and busy area. However, if you fancy going off the beaten track then the Athens Flea market is a place to look for a bargain and also the location to try your haggling abilities at the same time.
